Does BRIK AC automatically update itself with new releases?

No. You need to download and install new releases. If you pay the shareware fee, we will automatically notify you when new releases are available.

We chose not to incorporate any mechanisms that allow outside influence on your machine. BRIK AC is designed to obtain and report information. It does not accept any commands or other notification from our central server.

How do I remove BRIK AC?

Follow these steps :

1. Locate and select the BRIK AC application.
2. Shift-dbl-click to start the application. A dialog will appear.
3. Click the button "Remove BRIK AC from Startup Registry"
4. Click OK to close the dialog.
5. At this point BRIK AC will no longer run automatically. You may now delete the application, if desired.

My Personal firewall software is asking if BRIKAC should be allowed to access the internet. Why?

BRIK AC accesses the internet to attempt to determine your location and also accesses the internet to report information to the BRIK AC Central Server. Generally, however it is not mandatory, you should instruct your firewall software to always allow BRIK AC to have access to the internet.

Is this Spy Ware?

No. BRIK AC only reports the information we have listed. And BRIK AC does not stay resident, running, in your computer. At startup or login, BRIK AC will automatically run in the background, make it's report and then exit.

What, EXACTLY, is reported to the BRIK AC Central Server?

BRIK AC reports the following information to the Central Server:

1. A unique identifier for your machine. It is a number. This is so we may properly catalog your log reports and keep them separate from others.
2. We attempt to determine your general location on the internet and we send that information.
3. When BRIK AC is first run, it sends your Machine Name (from your network settings). This is to help us initially create your account.
4. If you check the "Submit Registration" checkbox in the setup dialog, BRIK AC will send whatever information is in the text box.
